Hi there. I’m a freelance writer, content creator and surf fiend from South Australia.
I started my career as a journalist at busy News Corp papers, but landed my dream gig as Editor of Riptide, the world’s foremost bodyboarding magazine, in 2012.
After three years at its helm, followed by a fun detour into media, communications and marketing roles in government and a major university, I turned to freelance writing (and a life of squalor) in earnest.
My work has been published in a bunch of digital and print publications including The Guardian, news.com.au, Sunday Mail, Surfing World, VICE Sports, Broadsheet, Slam Skateboarding Magazine, Kill Your Darlings, Great Ocean Quarterly and Kidspot.
I’ve spoken at two national Emerging Writers’ Festival events and won a prize at the Digital Writers’ Festival for a piece on my writing inspiration while living on the Gold Coast.
I’ve also created content and copy for brands and organisations including the Department for Environment and Water (SA), Flinders University, Pernod Ricard and Harris Real Estate.
Drop me a line if you reckon we might be able to work together – I’d love to hear from you.
